Rainy Day Blues: An April Jewelry Collection for Storm Lovers & Sky Watchers

01 Apr, 2026 28

April handmade jewelry collection of necklaces, bracelets and earrings that give a rainy day vibe

Let’s be honest: not all of us are sunshine-and-daisies people. Some of us live for gray skies, the sound of rain on the windows, and that moody, cozy vibe that comes with a good storm. That’s exactly where the April collection, Rainy Day Blues, was born...out of an appreciation for cloudy days, wet sidewalks, and all the beautiful blues and grays in between.

This collection has 12 pieces in total:

  • 5 necklaces
  • 3 bracelets
  • 4 pairs of earrings

Within the collection, there are four sub-sets that give you mix-and-match options, plus that solo star:

  1. Marble & Grey Cork Set – necklace, bracelet, earrings
  2. Black Lip Shell Set – necklace, bracelet, earrings
  3. Blues of Turquoise Set – necklace, bracelet, earrings
  4. Blue Ocean Tassel Set – necklace and earrings
  5. 50 Shades of Labradorite Necklace – the stand-alone, dramatic main character

Let’s walk through the rainy magic and the stones that make it shine.

A Quick Note on Metals (Because Details Matter)

3 jewelry metals used in this collection are sterling silver, gunmetal brass, gold-filled

Almost every piece in Rainy Day Blues is finished with sterling silver components—clasps, beads, and findings that add that cool, rain-kissed gleam:

  • Sterling silver shows up in the Marble & Grey Cork set, the Blues of Turquoise set, and the 50 Shades of Labradorite Necklace, plus sterling bead accents sprinkled throughout.
  • The Black Lip Shell set leans into a darker vibe with gunmetal and stainless steel components.
  • And then there’s the rebel: the Blue Ocean Tassel Necklace and Earrings. These two feature gold-filled components and gold-filled ear wires, bringing a warm, “sun just broke through the clouds” contrast to all the blues and grays.

Now, onto the fun part: the stones.

Onyx Marble Jewelry: Storm Clouds in Bead Form

Black Onyx & Marble handmade jewelry

The Marble & Grey Cork Necklace and Wrapped in Marble Bracelet feature onyx marble—dark, moody, and full of natural patterning. Think of it as wearable storm clouds.

Historically, onyx has been used since ancient Greek and Roman times in cameos, seals, and protective amulets. Marble has long been associated with sculpture and architecture, but in bead form, that marbled look feels like swirling clouds captured in stone.

In this collection, those onyx marble beads are paired with sterling silver starburst beads and a round gray cork focal pendant, leaning into that “rain on the horizon” aesthetic. They’re perfect for people who love a darker, grounded palette without feeling too heavy or harsh.

Black Lip Shell & Hematite Jewelry: Wet Pavement and City Nights

Black Lip Shell + Hematite Necklace, bracelet & earring set

The Black Lip Shell Necklace, Bracelet, and Earrings bring in a different kind of rainy mood: think wet pavement under city lights.

  • Black lip shell comes from the shell of a type of pearl oyster. It’s been used for centuries in inlay work, buttons, and jewelry because of its beautiful iridescence. Depending on the light, you’ll catch hints of gray, blue, and even green—like rainbow oil slicks on a puddle, but make it chic.
  • Hematite has a long history too; it was used as a pigment in ancient cave paintings and has been worn as a protective stone for centuries. Its natural metallic sheen makes it look like tiny, polished raindrops.

Together, the mini black lip shell nuggets and faceted hematite beads in this subset create a sleek, urban-rain sort of vibe: refined, a little edgy, and perfect if your idea of a good night is coffee, a trench coat, and a slow walk in the drizzle.

Turquoise Jewelry: Calm After the Storm

Turquoise Necklace, bracelet & earrings in our Rainy Day handmade jewelry collection

The Blues of Turquoise Necklace, Bracelet, and Drop Earrings are the softer side of Rainy Day Blues—the part when the storm has passed and the sky is clearing.

Turquoise is one of the oldest gemstones known to humanity and has been treasured by cultures from ancient Egypt to Indigenous peoples of the Americas. It’s often associated with protection, travel, and good fortune. Historically, it was worn as an amulet and used in ceremonial jewelry.

In this collection:

  • The turquoise beads are small, delicate, and faceted, giving just a hint of shimmer without going full sparkle.
  • They’re paired with sterling silver beads, clasp, and components, keeping the whole look light, airy, and grounded.

These turquoise pieces feel like that moment after the rain when the air smells clean, the world is quiet, and the clouds finally give way to patches of blue.

Blue Tassels & Earthy Stones: When the Ocean Crashes the Party

Blue tassel necklace and earrings

For the bold hearts, we have the Blue Ocean Tassel Necklace and Earrings. These are your “I’m here, I’m bright, and I’m not afraid of a little thunder” pieces.

  • The necklace features an Ocean Sands fanned tassel in bright blue and Sky Blue Line Agate beads that echo that electric color.
  • Tigerskin jasper and brown striped agate tube beads ground all that blue with sandy, earthy warmth—like rocks and cliffs meeting crashing waves.
  • Both the necklace and earrings are finished with gold-filled components and gold-filled ear wires, adding a warm, golden contrast that feels like sunlight trying its best to break through storm clouds.

This mini set is made for days when you want your jewelry to do the talking. Loudly.

Labradorite Jewelry: The Stand-Alone Showstopper

Handmade Labradorite necklace

Finally, we have the dramatic closer: the 50 Shades of Labradorite Necklace.

Labradorite was first discovered in Labrador, Canada (hence the name), and has been adored ever since for its labradorescence - that magical flash of blue, green, and gold that seems to come from inside the stone. It’s like a tiny personal aurora borealis you can wear around your neck.

In this 22" necklace, you’ll find:

  • Small round faceted labradorite beads for subtle shimmer
  • Larger faceted oval labradorite beads for drama and visual interest
  • Sterling silver bicone beads and sterling silver clasp and components to keep everything cool-toned and elegant

This is the piece you wear when you want something that feels a little mystical, a little moody, and totally unique—like a twilight sky after the storm, when everything feels possible.

If rainy days make you want to curl up with a book, drink something warm, and still look quietly fabulous, Rainy Day Blues was made with you in mind. Whether you’re drawn to the stormy depths of onyx and hematite, the grounded calm of turquoise, the bold ocean blues of tassels and agate, or the shifting magic of labradorite, there’s a piece (or three) waiting to match your favorite kind of cloudy day.

Until next time...

Dianna
